Our mission is to connect Philadelphians with rising under-represented food entrepreneurs in an aspirational space with gorgeous local foods at affordable prices while addressing food insecurity among college students, a powerful but solvable barrier to student success.
Drawing inspiration from international, inter-generational public spaces, Gather is designed to build community among the broad and diverse communities that make Philadelphia special.

Space to Convene, Connect & Converse
Gather Food Hall offers 13,000 square feet of space for guests and diners to relax, mingle, and explore the offerings of our partner vendors. The food hall will feature a collection of artisan concepts, curated and operated by New York based chef and restaurateur, Akhtar Nawab's Hospitality HQ (HHQ), known for their portfolio of chef-driven concepts. Hospitality HQ has partnered with Gather Food Hall (GFH) Management, a Philadelphia-based organization with a mission to uplift emerging culinary entrepreneurs as well as address the epidemic of food insecurity experienced by 1 in 4 college students. GFH Management includes FNB+, a hospitality consultancy, JEME Agency, and Believe In Students, a non-profit dedicated to ensuring aspiring college students have their basic needs met.

Gather stands out as a culinary haven with a purpose. It's not just about remarkable cuisine; it's about nurturing emerging talent. We will be the launching point for some of Philly's next great restaurateurs, caterers, and food providers. Gather's mentorship program isn't solely about culinary expertise; it's about instilling professional practices. Entrepreneurs receive tailored guidance not only in refining their menus but also in adopting sustainable sourcing, reducing waste, and integrating eco-friendly practices into their businesses.,all while supporting their future visions and growth.
COLLEGE STUDENT FOOD INSECURITY
Gather understands that college students who do not know where their next meal is coming from are unlikely to be successful in their studies. 1 in 4 college students are food insecure, At Gather, we will work to make this problem visible, ask for some help and leverage our ability to put meals in the hands of such students and those who have the ability to provide remedies for these problem for distribution.
